LG unveils elongated monitor for programmers

by time news

LG has unveiled a 27-inch DualUp monitor with 16:18 aspect ratio. According to the company, the monitor’s working area is equivalent to two standard 21.5-inch displays stacked on top of each other. LG is positioning the monitor as a coding and content creation tool.

This 2560 x 2880 monitor is equipped with Nano IPS, built-in speakers, HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C. The monitor is placed on a stand with a clamp that allows you to rotate the display, adjust its height, tilt and position in space. According to a press release from LG, the monitor’s “double height” reduces head movement from side to side. LG DualUp allows you to split the screen and thus create two virtual monitors.

LG did not disclose the cost of the new product. Details of the LG UltraFine will be revealed on January 4 at a virtual press conference at CES. At the same time, the details of the new 32-inch model of the LG UltraFine monitor with support for 4K will be presented.
