On the occasion of the International LGTBIQ+ Pride Day, on June 28, SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA launches a campaign that collects these and other data from the report, published in March 2023, prepared by the Confederation and the Mutua Madrileña Foundation, and the first of this magnitude, to know the situation of mental health in our country. The study shows that, in a heteronormative society, LGBT people are more likely to go to a psychologist (33.9% compared to 20.8% of the general population) and only 43.6% of people in the group perceives their mental health as good or very good, compared to 62.5% of the general population. This greater psychological suffering is reflected in the fact that 64.9% of the LGBT people participating in the study affirmed having suffered anxiety attacks, 55.4% depression and 48.2% prolonged anxiety.
