Li Auto will create a humanoid robot

Li Auto will develop androids. Chinese companies are increasingly joining the smart technology race. According to the CEO of Li Auto (aka LiXiang) Li Xiang, the company is 100 percent likely to produce humanoid robots. However, there are some problems that need to be solved before we can talk about full-fledged androids, Day.Az reports with reference to Motor.

Li Xiang predicts that cars will soon completely transform from vehicles into gadgets on wheels. A car with autonomous driving systems that can read road signs and recognize other road users is already a kind of robot.

However, before moving on to humanoid robots, machine autopilots need to be seriously improved. While it is far from perfect, the head of Li noted: the industry cannot create a full-fledged fourth-level system. If cars cannot drive fully autonomously, then robots will have very limited capabilities, concluded Li Xiang.

He previously set a goal to make Li Auto a leading artificial intelligence company by 2030. However, in the field of robotic taxi, the company will not compete with Tesla: its mission is to create a mobile home.

Tesla introduced the second generation of its Optimus robot a year ago. According to Elon Musk, production could start as early as 2025, but in 2024 the company showed only a figurine with bendable limbs. Xpeng is also developing, and Zeekr, Dongfeng, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and others have begun using advanced robots in production.
