Liberalization of the water and electricity sector: Senators say “Yes”

DIG/ Gathered in plenary, Thursday, June 1, 2023 in the afternoon, the Senators have in turn, and also unanimously adopted the bills regulating the water and electricity sectors in the Gabonese Republic.

These texts will be sent to the government for promulgation in accordance with article 17 of the Gabonese constitution.

For the government, these two bills will now allow “the liberalization of the water and electricity sector while ensuring an economic and financial balance in this priority sector”.
