Conmebol’s resolution
1º. SUSPEND the player MARCELO VIEIRA DA SILVA JUNIOR for 3 (three) matches, including the automatic suspension match already imposed. This sanction must be complied with in accordance with the provisions of articles 70 et seq. of the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Code.
2º. IMPOSE the player MARCELO VIEIRA DA SILVA JUNIOR with a fine of USD 6,000 (SIX THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) by virtue of Article 14.6 of the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Code. The amount of this fine will be automatically debited from the amount to be received by your Club as Television or Sponsorship rights.
3º. NOTIFY the FLUMINENSE FOOTBALL CLUB and the player MARCELO VIEIRA DA SILVA JUNIOR.
Against point 2 of this decision, an appeal may be made before the CONMEBOL Appeals Commission within a period of 7 (seven) calendar days from the day following the notification of this decision based on Article 64.1 of the Disciplinary Code of the CONMEBOL. The appeal must comply with the formalities required in article 64.3 et seq. of the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Code. Pursuant to Art. 64.4 of the CONMEBOL Disciplinary Code, the appeal fee of USD. 3,000 (THREE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) must be paid by bank transfer.
