Libres film on the contemplative life premieres in Nicaragua

The production companies Bosco Films and Variopinto Producciones announced the release dates in Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador of the film “Libres”, about the contemplative life in 12 monasteries in Spain.

“Libres” leads the viewer to the center of contemplative life through the spiritual gaze of the inhabitants of twelve of the more than 700 cloistered convents in Spain, being an almost unique occasion in which the vast inner world is shown of the monasteries.

The film is directed by the Spanish Santos Blanco, the script was in charge of Javier Lorenzo, while the executive production was by Lucía González-Barandiarán.

In a note sent to ACI Prensa, it is recalled that this film “has become a phenomenon in Spain, reaching 14 weeks in theaters with more than 100,000 viewers, it is the sixth most watched Spanish documentary in its country in 25 years.”

“In addition, the film was also released in seven cities in Australia within the framework of the Spanish Film Festival, he adds.

The film has already been in Cinemex theaters in Mexico for two weeks and has also been seen in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama, reaching more than 10,000 viewers in its first week.

The film will be released in the coming days in the following countries:

Peru: On August 10 in Cinemark and Cinépolis theaters.

Ecuador: August 17 at Cinemark.

Nicaragua: Also August 17th in Theaters.

Uruguay: August 22 and 29 at Movie Puntas Carretas.
