Libya participates in the African Urban Forum in Addis Ababa

The Minister of Housing and Construction in the Government of National Unity, Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, participated in the African Urban Forum, which is being held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, during the period from September 4 to 6.

During the forum, the Minister visited the accompanying exhibition, which included projects and innovations in the field of sustainable urban development. He also participated in dialogue sessions with African officials and international experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing African cities on their path towards sustainable development.

Libya’s participation in this forum comes within the framework of its efforts to enhance African cooperation and exchange expertise in the field of sustainable urban development, as well as to enhance its role in achieving the development goals of Agenda 2063.

The Minister was accompanied on this visit by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Affected Areas Affairs, Abdul Mawla Aazuma.

The forum was titled “Sustainable Preparation for Africa’s Transformation – Agenda 2063”, and aims to promote sustainable development in the African continent by exchanging experiences and developing future plans to achieve development goals.
