Libya participates in the “Como Lac 2024” forum in Italy

At the invitation of the person responsible for the innovation, development and digital transformation file in the Italian government, Alessio Botti, the Minister of Local Government in the Government of National Unity, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, participates in the Como Lac 2024 Forum.

During his speech at the forum, Al-Toumi stressed “the importance of digital transformation applications in developing the level of municipal services provided to citizens.”

He pointed to the efforts made by the Ministry of Local Government of the Government of National Unity to develop digital transformation in all institutions and municipalities in particular.

He explained, “The actual steps taken by the Ministry and the applications used. Reference was also made to the training programs for local administration employees in the field of digital transformation, and the encouragement of initiatives in all fields of technology and technology.”

The invitation comes, “in appreciation of the role of the Ministry of Local Government in the fields of sustainable development, innovation, and digital transformation, and was attended by the Ambassador of the State of Libya to the Republic of Italy, “Muhannad Younis,” the directors of the Digital Transformation Program, “Abu Bakr Hodoud,” and the International Cooperation Council, “Shadia Oribi.”

The forum, which will last for four days, witnesses the participation of ministers from a number of Arab and Western countries, executive directors of the largest international companies in the field of technology, and international institutions, and in-depth discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in sustainable development, energy, digital healthcare, and financial technology, and the challenges associated with infrastructure development.
