Life Insurance Corporation (LIC)’s market cap has fallen below Bajaj Finance and HDFC. On a market cap basis, LIC shares closed at a market value of Rs 4,29,151.09 crore yesterday, according to Sensex data. In the list of India’s most valuable companies by market capitalization, LIC shares slipped to 10th place, below Bajaj Finance and HDFC Ltd.

In yesterday’s session of the Indian stock market, Bajaj Finance finished at the 8th position in the big boys club with a market cap of Rs 4,41,536.51 crore and HDFC Ltd at the 9th position with a market cap of Rs 4,29,520.43 crore. Adani Transmission Limited is ranked 11th with a market cap of Rs 3,90,935.57 crore.

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) continues to top the list of India’s most valuable companies by market cap with a market capitalization of Rs 17,62,864.01 crore. Tata Consultancy Services is second behind RIL with a market capitalization of Rs 12,21,976.80 crore. HDFC Bank is third with a market capitalization of Rs 7,96,528.65 crore. ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) are ranked sixth and seventh respectively.

In Wednesday’s session, shares of Adani Transmission hit a 52-week high, dethroning Bharti Airtel from the 11th spot on the list of India’s most valuable companies by market capitalization. Adani Transmission shares advanced two places on the list to close at a market value of Rs 3,90,935.57 crore yesterday. Bharti Airtel had a market cap of Rs 3,85,504.14 crore and ITC had a market cap of Rs 3,81,276.38 crore in the previous session.

In this situation, the price of LIC shares closed at Rs.678.60 each on Nifty yesterday. The Nifty was down 1 percent from last Tuesday’s close of Rs 685.50.
