On Saturday, the Latvians took third place in their qualification group, but on Sunday they finished fourth in the first race, a little more than ten seconds behind the race winners from the Netherlands, Tima Leferinka/Sam Leferinka.

In the second race, the Latvian crew finished in fifth place and was less than a minute behind another Dutch crew, Kuhn Hermans/Ben van den Bogart, who took the first place.

The Belgian crew of Marvin Vanluchen and Glenn Janssens celebrated the victory in the sum of two races, finishing second in both races and getting 44 points. Lielbargi took fourth place with 34 points.

After eight stages, Vanlušen and Jansen are the first in the world championship standings with 354 points, 314 points are for Lielbarži, who are in second position.

In this year’s championship, the five fastest crews in each qualifying group earn additional points in the season overall.

This season, ten stages are planned for the World Motocross Championship crews in the competition calendar.

Last year, playing their first full-fledged season in the world championship, Daniel and Bruno Lielbarži took fifth place in the overall standings, while the Belgian Marvin Vanluchen with the “canter” Nicolas Mousset from France became the champions.
