Second race of the season, second podium for the ÖSV women.
After Julia Scheib in Sölden, Katharina Liensberger went to the podium at the opening slalom in Levi, Finland. The Vorarlberg native improved from fourth to second in the final (+0.79). All she has to do is concede victory to Mikaela Shiffrin.

The American is in his own league and is celebrating his 98th World Cup win and eighth overall in Levi’s – that’s a record.
German Lena Dürr (+0.83) completes the podium. Anna Swenn-Larsson (SWE) is already over a second behind in fourth place.
There are only three ÖSV women in the points
Liensberger is the only Austrian in the top ten. Apart from the Vorarlberg athlete, only two other ÖSV athletes were in the points.
Katharina Troupe is the second best Austrian in 19th place (+2.98). Katharina Gallhuber, 14th after the first run, is in 25th place (+3.48) after a serious mistake at the entrance to the steep slope.
The next slalom in Gurgl is scheduled for next week.
