The best friend of Salvador Altamura, the Quilmes lawyer who disappeared in July 2020 and was murdered, was sentenced to life in prison as the author of a crime that was considered proven even though the body was never found.
The Oral Criminal Court No. 3 of Quilmes, sentenced Rubén Darío Dening, 55 years old, to the maximum penalty of the Penal Code, by majority, as the author of an “aggravated homicide criminis causae” – that is, to hide another crime and achieve impunity–, and unanimously, for the “aggravated robbery” that also occurred in the victim’s house.
The sentence coincided with what the trial prosecutor Andrés Nieva Woodgate had requested in his argument.
