Kochi: Santosh Eapan arrested in Life Mission case. Santosh Eapan is the managing director of Unitac Builders, which has been awarded the construction contract. He has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate.
The arrest was based on the discovery that Santhosh Eipan, who had taken over the contract for the Life Mission project, had paid a bribe of Rs. The arrest was made after he was called for questioning. Santosh Eapan had given commission to many people to get the contract.
M. Sivashankar, the former Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, who was earlier arrested by the ED in the Life Mission corruption case, is on remand. CM Ravindran, Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister was also questioned by the ED. Santhosh Eepan is the first accused in the case.
