I know the name Fitz Roy?!
The Fitz Roy pays homage to the mountain of the same name in Patagonia. Nature lovers dream of hiking in the wonderland on the border of Argentina and Chile. The Tehuelche Indians refer to the 3406 meter high Fitz Roy as “smoking mountain”. The French Lionel Terray and Guido Magnone made the first ascent in 1952.
So a hiking shoe?
Yes! Although Veja is considered a lifestyle brand, the company released a hiking shoe for the first time on February 16th. The Fitz Roy is a technical hiking shoe, robust and stable thanks to the multidirectional outsole and protective rock plate. Its Trek Shell upper made from 100 percent recycled polyester makes the shoe more durable and waterproof. It is treated with a PFC-free water-repellent agent. There’s also a padded tongue for comfort, an elastic band to hold the laces to keep them from getting tangled, and a wide insole that adapts to all foot shapes.
And after hiking?
It is advisable to take out the clean soles to air them, store the shoes in a dry place away from heat sources. Use lukewarm soapy water and a brush for cleaning. Then air dry.
