A thorough interview was granted with Light Thursday evening 5 December 2024 on the show “Front Interior» and Nikos Hadjinikolou.
On the occasion of his film “No cap»o Light He talked about his desire to create a close family and the impact his parents’ divorce had on him. Even the facts an artist he answered whether he would allow his own children in the future to listen to songs like the ones he writes with offensive content.
Light: We all need families
“The need for family, warmth and comfort is a need we all have, even the most challenging. I don’t think the way you deal with a situation has anything to do with whether you love your family.
My father was proud that I was on the rise
For me, my mother was someone who helped me a lot in my emotional development, always keeping my word. What he said really touched me. My father died, just before the big break with my music. But he was proud that I was on the increase. I sure wish he was here and could share my success with him.she may have had a greater influence on me than my mother in terms of how I developed.
I want so bad to have a family
It is indeed clear that the lack of family comfort is responsible for the fact that I want a family so much. And now with my wife, we got engaged 1.5 months ago, we really want to start a family,” first admitted Light.
I will judge what my children will see and hear
“I would and will use the same criteria by which I allow them to watch things on TV, at the movies, or play video games.Let’s move away from fiction, let’s say that he is playing a documentary on the Second World War that is reality. I will judge what they see and hear based on their age.
I don’t hide that I sing songs for adults
On a very human level, I’ll tell you when I go live and I sing a song that talks about sex, violence and guns and 10-year-old kids sing it, I feel uncomfortable. I do not hide that I sing songs for adults, it is the duty of the parent to bring their child to Live.in my personal life, I try to promote a very healthy lifestyle,” he said at another point. light.
Anna Theodoridou: I didn’t expect it to go as far as a marriage proposal
At another point in the interview, his partner also spoke light, Anna Theodoridousaid: “I didn’t expect our relationship to go as far as we suggested. It has been two years since we met until the beginning of our relationship… We want to start a family… Chris does everything to make our plans come true… He is very loving and romantic. It bothers me sometimes that he works a little more than he needs to.”
Chris learns from his mistakes
“Twice they were tougher and I was worried. Okay, in this space some things are more difficult to manage, some things are unavoidable to avoid. They’ve passed, they’ve closed some chapters in our lives, and if I can say one thing about Chris,it’s that he learns from mistakes,” said Anna Theodoridou.
The two mistakes that killed Light’s partner
In these two intense memorials, he was also mentioned light, revealing which ones they were.
“It was definitely the Mad scene, which we both recognize was wrong,he was next to me,and then my handling was wrong. The second case was a case that has not yet gone to trial, it involved a gun video. I can’t comment more because the case is open, but I’m innocent … I’m not involved in guns. I was on a shooting range a few times, I was at a wedding in Crete. In my daily life, I don’t go around with weapons…”, he revealed Light.
I was never addicted to drugs
The conversation between the two men did not miss the mention of their relationship Light with drugs.
“I was never addicted to drugs or at the point where I was going to crash. Because I was at night from 16-17 years old, I came into contact with substances, this contact lasted a few years, but I was lucky. I was never addicted. If I can convey any message it is that drugs are not the solution to anything. You think it’s the solution because you’re numb, but in reality you’re opening another problem,” said o Light.
Racism does not come from children
“Racism does not come from children. Yesterday, let’s say, Mr.Velopoulos called me “too dark to be clean” and “too black to be Light”. When you have someone elected to Parliament who is not ashamed to say these things, then you realize that there is a big problem. The ESR who invited us, should they deal with an elected member of parliament who says these things?”
There are many rappers who underestimate women
“There are definitely a lot of rappers and a lot of men who put women down. Misogyny is a real issue. I do not beleive that I can be accused of being a misogynist in my lyrics or in my personal life. I think Arthur shouldn’t be censored, unless it’s hate speech… I don’t think anyone is hating on us,” said Light.
None of us said that rap and trap are anti-systemic
“He put these on ChatGTP to say. It’s good that we all have an opinion, but just like I don’t have an opinion about NASA, ask a woman who is a pot on a show… She doesn’t seem like a good journalist. I know her by her eyes, which are permanently raised. I don’t think she’s a journalist, I think of her as a pot on a morning lunch show. None of us said that rap and trap are anti-systemic…”, he said Light.
What themes does Light aim to convey through his upcoming music projects?
Time.news Editor: Good evening, everyone! I’m thrilled to be here with a renowned artist who is shaking up the music scene with his unique perspective on life and family. Please join me in welcoming Light. Light, thank you for taking the time to sit down with us today.
Light: Thank you for having me! I’m excited to be here.
Time.news Editor: Your recent interview on “Front Interior” with Nikos Hadjinikolou was quite reflective. You shared very personal insights, especially regarding your upbringing and your passion for family. Can you elaborate on how your parents’ divorce influenced your desire to start a family of your own?
Light: Absolutely. Growing up in a turbulent habitat made me crave stability and warmth. I believe that everyone has a basic need for family, no matter the challenges they face. Seeing the impacts of my parents’ divorce taught me the importance of creating a loving home, and that’s why I’m so eager to start a family now, especially with my fiancé, Anna.
Time.news Editor: Speaking of Anna, it sounds like you’ve taken meaningful steps recently. You mentioned getting engaged just a month and a half ago! Congratulations! How has your relationship evolved to this point?
Light: Thank you! It’s been a beautiful journey. Just a couple of years ago, I didn’t expect our relationship to develop as deeply as it has. Initially, we were friends, and then it blossomed into something much more meaningful. I think we both always knew we wanted to build a future together, and now we’re taking those exciting steps forward.
Time.news Editor: That’s heartwarming to hear. In your interview, you mentioned the responsibility that comes with being an artist, notably in how your music might be perceived by younger audiences. Can you tell us more about your feelings on that?
Light: Definitely. While I do write for an adult audience, I understand that my songs can sometimes reach younger listeners. When I see kids singing along to songs that address heavy themes like violence or relationships, it makes me uncomfortable. As a parent, I want to be discerning about what my children are exposed to, much like I would with movies or games. It’s crucial that they understand the context behind the art.
Time.news Editor: This leads to some complex discussions about artistic expression versus parental responsibility. How do you think artists like yourself can navigate that balance?
Light: It’s essential to lead by example. While I won’t shy away from making adult-oriented music, I also advocate for a healthy, responsible lifestyle. parents need to engage in conversations with their children about the content they’re consuming. Transparency and communication are key to helping kids understand the difference between fiction and reality.
Time.news Editor: That’s a remarkable approach. You also expressed a profound admiration for both your parents in the interview. How do you think their influences shape your music today?
Light: Each of my parents had a unique impact on me. My mother played a huge role in my emotional development—she always encouraged me to express myself honestly. I often think about my father, who sadly passed just before my career took off.He was incredibly proud of my journey. I strive to honor their legacies through my art.
Time.news Editor: It’s evident that your experiences have deeply enriched your music. As we wrap up, what message do you hope to share with your audience through your upcoming projects?
Light: I want people to feel hope and a sense of connection. No matter the difficulties we face, family and love are universal themes that bind us.I hope my music resonates with those feelings, reminding us that we all have a story worth telling.
Time.news Editor: Thank you, Light, for sharing your thoughts with us today.Your authenticity and passion for family really shine through, and I’m sure your fans appreciate that. We look forward to your future projects!
Light: Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to share. I can’t wait to continue this journey and see where it takes me.
