Light plane crashed in Leningrad region, two people died

A light-engine aircraft crashed near the village of Potanino in the Volkhov district of the Leningrad region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. There were two people on board, both of whom died.

“At 14:30, eyewitnesses reported a light-engine aircraft crash without subsequent fire in the Leningrad region in the Volkhov district in the village of Potanino. Upon the arrival of the first rescuers, it was found that there were two people on board, unfortunately (they.— ”b”) died,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in the official Telegram channel.

Nine people and five pieces of equipment are currently working at the site. The cause of the accident has not yet been reported.
