A decision that does not pass through the Lyon ranks. OL indicated, this Thursday morning, via a press release to appeal the decision of the LFP disciplinary committee not to follow up on the incidents on the sidelines of the Olympico on October 29 which had notably seen the Rhone coach Fabio Grosso injured in an eye after the Lyonnais bus was stoned during its journey to the Vélodrome stadium.

“Olympique Lyonnais is deeply shocked by the decision of the disciplinary committee to declare itself incompetent to deal with the extremely serious incidents which severely hampered the arrival of its professional group near the Vélodrome stadium, on Sunday October 29 last, during the 10th day of L1. »

On Wednesday evening, the Professional Football League explained that its disciplinary committee spared the Marseille club from any responsibility for the stone-breaking of the Lyon bus before the Olympico. This commission ruled that OM could not be held responsible, considering that “the incidents which occurred on public roads are not likely to engage the responsibility of the organizing club”.

The match will be played at the Vélodrome

That evening, the Lyon bus was the target of projectiles several hundred meters from the entrance to the Vélodrome. Italian coach Fabio Grosso, seriously injured in one eye, had to be treated by a medical team upon his arrival at the venue. The authorities then decided to postpone the meeting which will take place on December 6 (9 p.m.).

The LFP Competitions Commission has therefore decided, following the information and guarantees transmitted by the Bouches-du-Rhône Prefecture, to play this match counting for the 10th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats, at the Orange Velodrome. This match will be broadcast on Prime Video.
