Ligue 2: a supporter of Quevilly Rouen and his mother attacked after the meeting against Guingamp

by time news

Despite the 2-0 victory against Guingamp, it was not quite the party at Robert-Diochon on Friday evening. The day after this major success on the pitch in a match of the 22nd day of Ligue 2, the Quevilly Rouen Métropole club reported on its social networks a serious incident which took place after the match.

A QRM supporter – the leader of the Young Block supporters’ group – was attacked, along with his mother, by “individuals claiming to be from the Hooligans de Rouen group (the Rouen Football Club, with whom QRM has a history of violence )”, according to the Norman club. Which indicates that they were “physically attacked by giving them violent blows”.

“Seven individuals, hooded and unidentified”

“The club strongly condemns these acts of violence and intimidation which have no place in the stadiums and supports the families of the victims, continues QRM in its press release. Awareness and responsibility of all actors is essential in the face of the dangerous behavior of these individuals. The club is at the disposal of the authorities to discuss and find solutions together to put an end to this type of unacceptable incident. »

Arnaud Saint-André, general manager of QRM, explained to France Bleu Normandie that the individual was “attacked by seven individuals, hooded and unidentified” when he returned home with his mother. If the leader of the Young Block would have managed to flee in the face of this “premeditated” act, this would not be the case for his mother, who would have “received blows”, some of which were to the head. The two victims filed a complaint on Saturday.
