The resident of the city of Lod suffered a financial report and went through public humiliation for not doing wrong.
Details of the serious case: A.M., a resident of the city of Lod, an air conditioning technician by profession, encountered air conditioning waste last week on his way to his place of work in the city’s Ahismach neighborhood.
A.M., who as mentioned deals with air conditioning, stopped his car and collected for himself pipe parts that were thrown in the street which he needed for his work. At the same time, one of the municipality’s employees recorded AM holding the cardboard he took from the waste pile.
“This is where everything unfolded,” the resident tells ‘Bachderi Haredim’. “Before I tell you about the report I received for not being unjustly treated,” he says painfully, “I will tell you about the despicable and corrupt way the municipality inspector carried out until the report was issued,” says A. “I was amazed to hear from the residents of the neighborhood that the inspector went around with my picture and asked the passers-by for the name of the person who appears in the picture, I was in complete shock,” A.M. continues. In the description of the case, “Not to mention that the report I received is fundamentally false, but rather the despicable manner in which an inspector walks around the neighborhood with a photo of a resident as if it were a dangerous criminal who managed to escape from prison and is a danger to the public.”
“I don’t know what parents of children think when they see an inspector going back and forth asking about a person’s identity when his picture is exposed for all to see,” continues A.M. in recounting the case, “I am ashamed, believe me, the humiliation I went through in the neighborhood hurts me more than the financial damage I suffered from the hood.” H. that it was registered to me without any wrongdoing, says A.M. in immense pain, according to him “I return home and it turns out that the inspector visited my house and demanded my wife to identify herself and present a social security card, while hurling accusations at her that I allegedly committed, there is no need to describe the humiliation that my wife experienced from this case” says AM to the editor.
The great absurdity did not stop here, a reporter from ‘Bahadari Haredim’ appealed to the municipality demanding to understand the conduct of the municipality in the fact of the inspector, but it chose to blatantly ignore the case in question.
In response to the question of ‘in ultra-Orthodox rooms’ “Who allowed the municipal inspectors to go around with a picture and question residents and cause the A.M. family grief, that the citizens who were asked to identify him might conclude that he is a criminal that the municipality is looking for” – the municipality of Lod responded as follows: “An inspection with the municipal inspectorate shows that the resident was observed when he throws away the waste. The resident has the option of submitting a request to cancel the payment of the fine for the reasons set forth in the law and/or submitting A request to be tried in court.”

The municipality’s response upset A.M., according to him, “What is even more outrageous about the municipality’s response is the claim that it supposedly has documentation proving that I was the one who threw the waste, “in the documentation that can be seen (above) from the car’s camera, you can clearly see that I was not the one who threw the waste, Rather, I randomly passed through the area, and collected from the pile fusion parts, the municipality in its response lies with a determined forehead! AM tells us painfully, “Not only does she not apologize for the serious incident, but she lies with a determined face and portrays me as a criminal.”
Former member of the Knesset and candidate for mayor of Lod, Yoram Marciano, said in response to the incident: “The conduct in which an inspector searches for a citizen in such a whitewashed manner is unimaginable, especially during the three weeks when we cry over the destruction of the house because we did not treat each other with respect.” He also added that “it is not clear how the inspector allows himself to be a judge and an executioner at the same time. I empathize with the pain of the family who suffered humiliation and promise that in the future things will be handled differently, in Gaza.”

Bilitsky also added that “It would have been appropriate for the municipality (to which this was brought to its attention), not to issue a formal notice that the resident would file an appeal against the report he received, but to issue an apology notice to the resident and refine procedures with the inspectors in order to make it clear that ugly phenomena of this type will not occur again “.
