The Korea Professional Football League, which oversees the K League, announced on the 5th the 44 candidates for the ‘Fan Eleven’ of Team K League who will play in the first match of the ‘Coupang Play Series’ between Team K League and EPL’s Tottenham Hotspur to be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 31st.
Earlier, Yang Min-hyeok was selected as the ‘Couple Young Plus’ after receiving the most votes in a fan vote among 12 candidates for U-22 players who performed exceptionally well this season, submitted by each of the 12 K League 1 clubs.
With a final vote rate of 20.8%, he beat Kang Sung-jin (FC Seoul, 20.4%), Hwang Jae-won (Daegu FC, 15.2%), Um Ji-seong (Gwangju, 9.2%), and Jeon Byeong-gwan (Jeonbuk Hyundai, 8.2%) to play in the Tottenham match.
Currently, Yang Min-hyeok is being mentioned as having the possibility of advancing to the EPL, where world-class players compete.
Last month, Gangwon CEO Kim Byung-ji revealed through Newsis that they were in negotiations with a prestigious EPL team regarding Yang Min-hyeok.
Yang Min-hyeok, a promising prospect for the K-League, is not shaken by rumors of a transfer to the EPL and is focusing on his team Gangwon.
Last month, Yang Min-hyeok said, “The most important thing is to do my best in Gangwon and come first,” and added, “I think I should prepare as well as I can without feeling burdened and repay them.”

Meanwhile, the K-League team that will play in the Tottenham match is comprised of a total of 22 players, including 1 ‘Couple Young-Ple’ player selected by Yang Min-hyeok, 11 ‘Fan Eleven’ players, and 10 ‘Pick Ten’ players.
‘Fan Eleven’ is a list of 11 players selected through fan voting from among the candidates selected by the Technical Committee of the League (TSG) in multiples of 4 based on the best 11 submitted by each of the 12 K League 1 clubs.
The ‘Pick Ten’ is determined by the K-League team coaching staff selecting an additional 10 players, taking into account the positions and the number of players in each team.
