Tonight (Thursday), all members of the Likud faction signed a letter to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, demanding the dismissal of Deputy Economy Minister Yair Golan, following the incitement he made today against the settlers in the Chumash.
Golan said in an interview with Yaakov Ayalon: “People who settle in a place that is legally evacuated should not belong to anyone. The same people rioting in the village of Burka, smashing gravestones, we Jews who suffered pogroms are doing pogroms.
“The settlers are pioneering Zionists who settle the land of our ancestors”
In their letter, Likud members wrote: “We, members and members of the Likud faction, demand that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announce the dismissal of Deputy Minister Yair Golan today. .
“The settlers are pioneering Zionists who settle the land of our ancestors. When a member of the Israeli government speaks so blatantly and shamefully against the settlement and the settlers – do not go over it on the agenda or settle for faint tweets and condemnations that have nothing behind them.”
Finally, they demanded the dismissal of Golan: “We demand the dismissal of Deputy Minister Yair Golan today, otherwise the Bennett-Ram government admits that it ‘contains’ and agrees in practice with this indecent statement, which brings out the slander of all settlers in Judea and Samaria.” .
