An armed man has been holed up at home since the middle of the day this Sunday in an apartment in Limay (Yvelines), in the station district. Explosions, similar to gunshots, were heard in the vicinity, while the Raid men were dispatched to the scene to try to reason with the madman. A demining team was also deployed and a security perimeter established around the accommodation.
The other occupants of the building were evacuated for safety reasons. The elements collected on the spot did not allow, at the beginning of the afternoon, to say if the man had one or more hostages with him. We do not know anything about the motivations of the individual, unknown to the services of the town hall but who, according to our information, would have already had to deal with the police in the past.
