Lin Jarvis Resigns, Yamaha Motor Racing Appoints Paolo Pavesio

jpnn.com – Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (YMC) announced that Lin Jarvis will step down from his current position as Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing (YMR) effective January 1, 2025.

Yamaha will then appoint Paolo Pavesio to replace Lin Jarvis.

General Manager (GM) of Motorsports Development Division, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd, Takahiro Sumi said thank you for Jarvis’ dedication and will now welcome Pavesio.

“I look forward to welcoming Paolo to Yamaha Motor Racing in January and under his leadership, I am confident that Yamaha can secure the future success in MotoGP that we are all striving for,” Takahiro said in his statement, Tuesday.

Pavesio is not new to Yamaha, especially Yamaha Europe.

He previously served as Director of Marketing & Motorsport at Yamaha Motor Europe (YME).

For 11 years, Pavesio led the restructuring of YME’s operations in Yamaha Marketing and Motorsport.

Some of Pevesio’s steps in the Motorsport Division were to carry out a major restructuring, and successfully secure World Championship titles in WorldSBK, EWC, and MXGP.

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (YMC) announced that Lin Jarvis will be stepping down from his current position as Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing (YMR).
