INTERVIEW – The Franco-Italian duo Sébastien Laudenbach and Chiara Malta are reacting hotly to having won the Cristal for best film. This jewel of tenderness and humor will be released in theaters on October 18.

It is certainly “THE” favorite of the 47th Annecy Animation Festival. It was obvious that the Franco-Italian film Linda wants chicken!, directed by the duo of Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, won the Cristal for best animated feature film for this edition of the festival. In this, the jury was not mistaken, far from it.

After being selected by the Cannes Film Festival in the “Acid” section, this atypical film had then entered the official competition of the Annecy festival. During its first screening, this jewel of tenderness and humor aroused a tremendous and immediate reaction from the public present in the room. A “standing ovation” – full of warmth and enthusiasm – surprised the two directors in the great hall of the Bonlieu centre.
