Coimbatore: A petition was filed with the Collector with banners stating that the lease for the land on which all the taxes were to be paid was not available. Members of the RK Naidu Layout Association, Venkatapuram, Coimbatore, came to the Collector’s Office with banners and petitioned for a lease for their land. They said, ‘No lease has been issued so far in RK Naidu Lay Out Block 10,26,28, 43rd Ward, Coimbatore Corporation. When the land surveyor was asked about this, he was distracted without giving a proper explanation. Without the patta, we are paying all the taxes to the corporation and the electricity board. The Collector should intervene in this matter and take appropriate action to make the belt available.
