Línea Directa has launched anti-squatting coverage for 10 euros a year for home insurance customers. This new product covers up to 33,900 euros and offers legal assistance for the property recovery process and financial compensation to the insured. This coverage offers judicial, legal advice and the eviction of the house. In this sense, the claim made by Línea Directa covers up to 10,000 euros in legal and legal expenses, including those of the lawyer, the notaries, the rights and tariffs of the attorney, fees and expenses of the expert, costs and judicial fees. In this regard, the commercial director of the insurer, Diego Ferreiro, explained at a press conference that it is a “fixed” price for all of Spain, so it is not a launch promotion.
The director of People, Communication and Sustainability of Línea Directa, Mar Garre, has assured that it is an “innovative” product. «There is no product in Spain that covers what Línea Directa covers. It addresses situations that are not covered by any other policy,” she added.
On the other hand, Ferreiro has recognized that the new housing law, recently approved, could lengthen the recovery time since it requires additional procedures that did not exist until now, such as the accreditation of habitual residence or vulnerability.
