After the death of the frontman, who took his own life in 2017, the American rock band is back with their first album of unreleased material since 2017 and the first tour dates

Big news for the Linkin Park, after a countdown on their social pages that had kept fans in suspense in recent weeks, giving rise to a series of speculations on what they were ready to announce.

The American rock band led by Mike Shinoda – after the disappearance of Chester Bennington who took his own life in 2017 – tonight during a livestream he announced the entry of two new members who join Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn: the drummer Colin Brittain, but above all the co-vocalist Emily Armstronguntil now frontwoman of the rock band Dead Sara.

As rumoured, it is therefore a female singer to join the group, thus avoiding the risk of a mere Bennington imitation effect that would have been very difficult to match. Armstrong, 38, was born in Los Angeles and began playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 12. Since 2002, she has been leading Dead Sara, a group that, despite not having had a strong mainstream echo, has often been praised by critics.

The new Linkin Park have also announced their first new music in seven years: a new single, «The Emptiness Machine»and a new video, which anticipate the arrival of the new album «From Zero»out on November 15, as well as the launch of the first six concerts in the arenas (in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul and Bogota) as part of the «From Zero World Tour». The dates of the pre-sales have already been announced, starting today, September 6, for the members of the fan club, and tomorrow for everyone else.
