After last year’s success, Linus-Comic Strip Festival returns – in the name of contamination – from 22 to 24 September in Ascoli Piceno. The review, conceived and directed by Elisabetta Sgarbi, offers three days full of appointments on , readings, exhibitions, concerts, meetings with schools and dialogues with the many awaited guests. A festival which, just like La Milanesiana, now in its 24th edition, aims to bring together several arts, starting with comics as a common denominator but ranging from cinema to music, for a real 360° dialogue on evolution and developments of this literary genre.” In the spirit that also animates La Milanesiana, and generally inspires what I do, comics will meet Cinema, Literature, Music, Television, History. Comics will be the lens through which we will meet the other disciplines and, also, we will re-read historical events and literary characters” declares Elisabetta Sgarbi.

Among the guests of this edition the two-time Strega Prize Sandro Veronesi who will lead the main dialogue of the three evenings in which Sio, Altan and Zerocalcare will alternate, the icon Barbara Bouchet, Irene Grandi and Raphael Gualazzi with their concerts, and many others interventions.

Like last year, part of the day will be dedicated to activities for schools since comics represent a communicative tool that helps to develop critical thinking, creativity and intercultural communication. Two exhibitions will be inaugurated at the Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo, in full historic center of Ascoli Piceno: “1973 – 2023. Fifty years after the coup in Chile in the tables of Alfredo Chiappori” and “Scerbanenco according to Fior”.

Furthermore, after being presented for the first time in Venaria Reale (Turin) for La Milanesiana, in Ascoli Piceno in the last edition of the Comics Festival, at the Mart in Rovereto and in Viareggio, at the Castello Estense in Ferrara from 8 September to 26 December the even more extensive exhibition “linus – All numbers from 1965 to 2023” curated by Marcello Garofalo and Elisabetta Sgarbi, in collaboration with Igort, is back.
