The motto of the traditional Lions Day on the main square in Hollabrunn was “Those who help quickly help twice”. The net proceeds of 8,000 euros go to the immediate aid fund of the Hollabrunn Lions Club, from which needy people and families in the region can be helped quickly and unbureaucratically.

HOLLARUNN. “This year the color of fashion is green,” explained moderator Helmut Schneider at the fashion show on Lions Day, and Green City Councilor Sabine Fasching cheered audibly. 15 children and numerous celebrities presented the current trends of the new season in atmospherically choreographed fashion pictures. President Gernot Altinger is happy about the successful event:

“We help quickly, unbureaucratically and in the region and are also happy to help out within other clubs. The need is increasing and we try to help where it is most needed.”

Children’s program offered

The extensive children’s program with bouncy castle and wheel of fortune were particularly popular. Franz Schwingenschlögl provided the musical accompaniment. The book flea market is also part of the fixed program on Lions Day. “If it rains, we have taken all precautions to protect the books,” said Gernot Eissner. Many guests also took advantage of the lunch menu that was offered.
