New Delhi: The Central Government has announced the list of companies eligible for incentives under the PLI, a manufacturing-linked incentive scheme for the automotive manufacturing and auto parts sector.
The list includes companies such as Tata Motors, Suzuki, Hyundai, Ford, Kia, Mahindra and Mahindra.

Under the scheme, companies have offered to invest Rs 45,000 crore and Rs 16 crore. A total of 115 applications were received to participate in the program. 20 applicants have been approved under the ‘Original Equipment Manufacturers’ Incentive Scheme.
Two-wheelers and three-wheelers are not included in this category. The list of 20 companies includes ‘Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, Ford India, Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra Suzuki India’.
Under the incentive scheme for two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers, ‘Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, TVS, Motor’ etc. have been selected. Various companies have also been selected in the ‘Non-Vehicle Investors’ category.
The incentive of up to 18 per cent under the scheme is aimed at encouraging the industry to make new investments, the ministry said.
