KINSHASA – The “Express Recension” literary structure was launched on June 3 by journalist Olivier Tshimanga, in the presence of several literature lovers. This activity took place in the library of the Faculty Institute of Information and Communication Sciences (Ifasic) in Kinshasa.
“Recension express is a purely literary structure, based on the promotion of works and the encouragement of authors for their contribution to intellectual development. In short, recension express wants to be an intermediary between writers and readers,” said Mr. Tshimanga.
The initiator nurtures the dream of organizing several activities in Kinshasa with authors with the aim of bringing writers closer to the general public.
During the presentation of the new structure, Professor Claude Mukeba from Ifasic discussed with the public. He is the author of the book ‘Naming and renaming places, a century of ideological battles through toponyms in Kinshasa’.
Olivier Tshimanga hopes that his initiative will give writers an appropriate framework to enable them to interact with their readers. He plans to organize several activities and meetings to talk about beautiful letters.
