“You must not forget that there are credits and all guarantees. Even after spitting and leaving, maybe some credits will still be issued to the company and this will have an effect”, said D. Dundulis to “Žiniai Radio” on Monday.

“Yes, in principle it is necessary to leave those markets. And we’re not talking about getting out without losing money, but getting out without breaking the bank. You can leave in such a way that you lose everything,” he added.

The manager of “Norfos” reminded that in the middle of March, the Supreme Court of Lithuania recognized the decision of the Moscow court, according to which the Lithuanian company must pay the Russian company. According to him, this shows that the rapid abandonment of the Russian market is being punished by the authorities.

“If the company spits and leaves, a trial would take place in Russia and the requirements would be fulfilled here,” he assured.

“We need to fix the laws so that we are not harmed,” suggested the head of Norfa.

The issue of the business operating in Russia until now returned to the public eye after the prosecutor’s office started a pre-trial investigation into the possible violation of international sanctions by the “Vičiūnai” group company.

This investigation is organized and controlled by the prosecutors of the Criminal Prosecution Department of the Klaipėda District Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation is carried out by the officers of the Klaipėda Division of the Customs Criminal Service.

Last week, the portal lrt.lt published a study which revealed that “Plungės kooperatinė prekyba” belonging to the “Vičiūnai” group transported goods included in the sanctions to Sovetska at least 11 times.

It is reported that products and technologies classified as high-priority battlefield goods were transported from Lithuania to Kaliningrad.

After the prosecutor’s office started an investigation, representatives of the “Vičiūnai” group claim that the information presented in the media is incorrect.
