Little Viking Vicky – in a big cornfield (photo) | Germany Information and Travel Tips | DW

by time news

Weisskirchen • In some places in Germany, the corn harvest has already begun, but the main season usually starts in mid-September. Last but not least, the harvesters will enter the fields with such labyrinths, of which there are quite a few – dozens of them throughout the country. This one is near Weiskirchen near Frankfurt am Main, whose high-rise banking buildings are visible in the second photo.

The local maze “Corn Spirits” (www.maisgeister.de) has been arranged for those who like to wander in the middle of the corn for almost two decades now. This summer, an image of the hero of a fairy tale (comic, TV series and film) about a little Viking Vicky (“Vicky the Viking”, left) and strong men (one of them on the right) appeared on the field. The labyrinth will be open until Sunday 26 September.
