The Golden Eagle Awards were first held in 1983, founded by the magazine Popular Television. Since 1997, Hunan TV & Broadcast has purchased the rights to organize the event and it takes place every two years. Many famous actors such as Zhao Wei, Hu Ge, Zhao Liying and Tong Liya have won this award, contributing to consolidating the position of the Golden Eagle in the Chinese entertainment industry.
Liu Yifei was born in 1987 in Wuhan, China. She had a special childhood as her father was a French lecturer and later worked at the Chinese Consulate in France, and her mother was a dancer named Liu Xiaoli. After her parents divorced, Liu Yifei followed her mother to the United States and became an American citizen. She returned to China after 5 years and officially entered the entertainment industry with her first film, “The Legend of Fuyao”.
