The hearing on the appeal was held at midnight at the residence of Judge Thuraisamy in Anna Nagar, Chennai. Following the Vidya Vidya hearing, the judges ordered that the AIADMK general body not be barred from holding the meeting. In addition, they said that only 23 resolutions already decided in the General Assembly could be passed and other issues could be discussed but no decision should be taken. It is noteworthy that out of those 23 resolutions there was no resolution on single leadership.
