The Dynamo Kiev has never beaten Lazio in the four previous meetings held in major European competitions (1 draw, 3 losses); this is the first challenge between the two teams since the round of 16 of the Europa League in 2017/18. Lazio has won both previous away matches against Dynamo Kiev (1-0 in the group stage of the Champions League 1999/00 and 2-0 in the return leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League 2017/18). Dynamo Kiev has not won any of the last 11 group stage matches in the Europa League (five draws and six defeats), since the 1-0 against Malmö in the first match of the 2019/20 edition.
