The University of Magdalena continues to confirm its commitment to the overall development of young people in the region after the development in its materials of the Ninth Day of Child Care: ‘Life with values, its success’, an event that is part of Region XII Pediatric Symposium, organized by the Pediatric Society – Magdalena Chapter.
This activity is designed to strengthen students’ training in values and discipline, important topics for personal and academic development.
The day, which brings together students from previous levels and high school students from related areas, is a place for reflection and awareness about the importance of child care, a discipline based on care and raising children from birth to youth.
“We are looking to provide an educational environment with relevant topics for young people in their process of making a life project. Mónica Núñez González, who is a school counselor at IED INEM Simón Bolívar, explained the importance of this day to eleventh grade students: “It is an important time in their lives, where they learn their life’s work. The day also includes the participation of institutions such as IED Liceo Samario, IED Liceo Celedón, and Colegio Divino Niño, as well as students from the Psychology and Medicine programs of this University.
