After a touchdown launch well controlled by Van Staden, the South African third line sets up a ball carried to 3 which advances. Van Staden with the ball in hand collapses in front of the line because of Australian hooker Porecki. Mr O’Keefe grants a penalty try after the video is called and puts Porecki out 10 minutes. Double penalty try yellow card for the Australians who have been drowned since the recovery.

The Springboks fly to the score after the hat-trick signed Kurt-Lee Arendse. The game unfolds very quickly on the outside with Roof guarding and getting tackled. Libbok then transmits on Am who makes the last pass (limit forward but validated by Mr. O’Keefe). In the duel with three opponents in front of the line Arendse takes the inside and eliminates them too easily to score again on his left wing.
Libbok misses his conversion but the South Africans lead 22-5. Arendse him, registered his 1st try in 8 selections.

Quade Cooper launches a foot game recovered by Willie Le Roux who launches the counter-attack. Bulls player Canan Moodie escapes on his wing and allows his team to seriously advance. The forwards led by Kitshoff do the job and despite a ball on the ground, Arendse seizes it to go quietly behind the line, alone for the first South African try. Slightly to the left, Libbok transforms.

This is the first composition of Eddie Jones (former England coach) at the head of the Australian selection.
