jpnn.com – ARAGON – The peak of the 2024 Aragon MotoGP, namely the race session, will be held at MotorLand Aragon, Sunday (1/9) evening WIB.
After the public was amazed by Marc Marquez’s prowess since FP1, practice, FP2, qualifying, to last night’s sprint, now MotoGP fans must be waiting; could Marc be too perfect in Aragon 2024?
Race is not the same as sprint.
The number of laps in a race is twice as many as a sprint. In Aragon, the race is 23 laps, while the sprint is eleven laps.
The number of points competed for is also very different. The race winner gets twice as many points as the race champion.
Sprint Points: 12 (for gold), 9 (silver), 7 (bronze), then 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, up to 1 point for 9th place sprint.
Race Points: 25 (for the winner), 20 (second place), 16 (third place), then 13, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, up to 1 point for 15th place in the race.
Marc Marquez actually has two major assets to master MotorLand Aragon, advantages that other racers do not have.
Firstly, Marc is one of the few riders who prefers left turns over right turns.
If there is no drama or incident, the winner of the Aragon MotoGP race is likely to be within three names.
