London: Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool beat Southampton in the English Premier League. They narrowed their gap to first-placed Chelsea by one point with a four-goal win at Anfield.
Liverpool’s other scorers were Thiago Alcantara and Virgil Vandyke in a brilliant match with Diego Jotta scoring twice.
Liverpool took the lead in the second minute through Jota. Robertson’s cross from the left wing was deflected into the net.
Jota found the target again in the 32nd minute. This time the goal came from a pass from Mohamed Salah on the right wing.
Thiago Liverpool took the lead five minutes later. Alexander Arnold scored in the 52nd minute.
Gunners smash Newcastle
Arsenal beat Newcastle at home Arteta’s team won by two unanswered goals.
After a goalless first half, Bukayo Sakka put the Gunners ahead in the 56th minute. Gabriel Martinelli scored the team’s second goal in the 66th minute.
With the win, Arsenal moved into fifth place with 23 points from 13 matches.
