The next event is scheduled for September 5, at 8:30 p.m., with free admission, in the amphitheater of Zafferana where, between moments of entertainment and performance, we will talk about the reality, often little known, of the assisted therapeutic communities, of the rehabilitation programs for patients for whom hospitalization is not useful. Event organized by the CTA Villa Letizia, coordinated and promoted by the head physician psychiatrist of the Structure, Dr. Ausilia Parrinello, as a culmination of the activity carried out, which has seen among others the involvement of the schools of Nicolosi, Bronte, Randazzo, Taormina and Catania over the last two years. The evening’s program, entitled “Living and sharing the strength of the community”, will see the choir of community users and operators performed on stage, curated by singer-songwriter Amanda Vitale who will perform with them, the dancers Erika Di Stefano and Gaia Scalia, the violinist maestro Maxim, the comedian Carlo Kaneba and Professor Liliana Nigro, a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, who will propose a fashion show of 15 dresses made by students Rosa Platania, Matteo Siculo, Flavio Massimo Nisi, Andrea Pollino and Roberta Russo.

“We want to raise awareness and sensitivity also towards the problems of homophobia and violence against women”, for this reason Jessica will sing a song entitled “A modo mio”, furthermore Mrs. Vera Squatrito, mother of Giordana Di Stefano, killed with 48 stab wounds by her ex-boyfriend, will tell her experience”, as anticipated by Dr. Ausilia Parrinello. Another “guest” will be Zavvo Nicolosi, psychiatrist of the CTA Villa Letizia and director of award-winning short films on the CTA and director of the film starring Colapesce and Di Martino, as well as the video clip for the song “Musica leggerissima” which was very successful in Sanremo. The Amici delle Missioni Acireale association will be present at the event to testify to the many years of activity in Africa with the deacon Sebastiano Genco to highlight that truth that we often ignore for fear of relating to suffering.

The show, an original combination of medical science, social care, volunteering and artists from different disciplines, is part of the “Etna in scena 2024” calendar, created by the Municipality of Zafferana Etnea.
