Liya Karatancheva lost in the singles final of the tennis tournament on hard courts in Segovia (Spain) with a prize fund of 25 thousand dollars.

The 20-year-old Bulgarian lost in a dramatic match to the representative of France, Yasmin Mansouri, 2:6, 7:6 (5), 5:7 in 2:52 hours.

The Bulgarian saved a match point at 3:5 in the second set and Mansouri’s service, and then reached a tiebreak. In it, she turned the score from 4:5 to 7:5 points and equalized. In the third part, Karatancheva had two match points at 5:4, but was unable to take advantage. Mansuri then broke for 6:5 and served to win the match. The Bulgarian had five points to return the break, but failed, and the French closed the match in her favor with her third match point.

Before this match, the Bulgarian won four consecutive victories without losing a set.
