Police Region West is currently seeking a new Local Police Area Manager for Östra Fyrbodal, located in Västra Götaland County. This position is part of the Police Region Väst, which consists of Halland County and Västra Götaland County. The responsibilities of the Local Police Area Manager include leading and developing the local police area, participating in the police area’s management team, and working towards the authority’s long-term change and development.
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of experience in driving and leading with other managers, as well as several years of goal-oriented work and successful leadership in major change and development projects. Additional qualifications such as management and leadership training, experience in crime prevention and investigation activities, and media contacts are also sought after.
The position requires a strong communicative ability and the capacity to handle both strategic and operational business issues. The selected candidate will play a critical role in representing the entire Police Authority both internally and externally, working to strengthen trust in police operations, and fostering collaboration with municipalities, authorities, and citizens.
The employment will be based in Trollhättan, with a permanent appointment for the position and a possibility of extension after the initial four years.
