Mayor Daniel Monteverde toured the tributaries and urged the population to maintain family unity and communion with the Almighty
During the days of Holy Week, locals and visitors visited the spas of the Cedeño municipality to share a different moment with their family and friends.
The tributaries that received the largest number of holidaymakers were Maraquero and El Limón, located in the Caicara parish and Guarapiche in the San Félix parish, which had the respective supervision of the prevention and citizen security bodies.
The mayor of the Cedeño municipality, Daniel Monteverde, toured the rivers of the town and urged the population to maintain family union and communion with the Almighty to enjoy the holiday in a healthy way.
Likewise, the vacationers thanked the municipal manager for the cleaning work in the spaces and the installation of two citizen service points in Maraquero and at the entrance of San Félix.
«I think it is excellent that they have cleaned the rivers for this occasion. I congratulate the security forces for the work they are doing on the streets and in the rivers so that unfortunate events do not occur,” said Víctor Lares, a visitor.
Similarly, Daniela Zorrilla from the Maturín municipality, indicated that every year she travels to Cedeño to spend time with her family.
«The river (Guarapiche) is very clean and we have had a good time in the company of our family. We come from Maturín every year to enjoy these days off”.
Sports and recreational games
The Municipal Institute of Sports and Recreation of the Cedeño Municipality (Imderce) and the Directorate of Communication and Information, Culture and Tourism developed sports and recreational activities in the Guarapiche pass, in the town of San Félix for the healthy recreation of the population.
In the place they did a strength test for men and women, sand volleyball, a crossfit exhibition and contests with surprise prizes for the participants, they also held games for the little ones with the support of the Recreational Movement.
These dynamics brought joy to the spa, while children and adults joined them with great emotion.
Dalianny Goitía, seasonal worker, stated that children and adults had a different day on the river and that this year there are more people in the rivers after the pandemic.
Godofredo Oliveros, a resident of Guarapiche, stressed that it is important to maintain sports activities in the area to avoid states of leisure in youth.
“Those sports activities that they did here in Guarapiche are very good for young people, they should always activate them so that our boys stay busy and free from leisure,” he asserted.
