Locals stopped the pick-up van that came to dump the garbage

Changanassery: On Pattappakal Paral – Kumarankeri Road, a pick-up van that came to dump garbage was stopped by Natukkar and handed over to the police. The incident happened around 5 pm yesterday. A van filled with stale food scraps and garbage from a business establishment was parked on a busy road and dumped.
The locals got together and stopped the van and when the police arrived after informing the police, the locals would hand over the vehicle full of garbage.
In conjunction with Shuchikaranawarat, the local people and the Residents Association had removed garbage and cleaned it. Even after this, the locals were enraged by the continued dumping of garbage here.
Locals allege that by carrying out night patrolling in the urban areas under the leadership of the Municipal Corporation, such people choose such inner areas to dump garbage and hotel waste.
Last month, a large-scale clean-up work was carried out under the leadership of the municipal corporation after the pedestrian travel through this route was difficult due to the piles of garbage.
