jpnn.comJAKARTA – Golkar Secretary General Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus said that the National Conference (Munas) of his political parties would still be held in December and could not be brought forward.
He said this to answer questions from media crew regarding the news that the Golkar National Conference would be moved forward from the original plan to December 2024.
“The AD/ART has determined December. It cannot be changed. Changing the AD/ART must go through the National Conference,” said Lodewijk in response to media crew in the Parliament Complex area, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (28/3).
The former Kopassus Danjen said that Golkar’s AD/ART stated that the National Conference of political parties bearing the Banyan Tree symbol would be held once every five years in December.
“So the AD/ART has determined, in December,” said Lodewijk.
He then received questions from media crew about the possibility of several names emerging as candidates for Golkar Chairmanship at the National Conference in December 2024.
Lodewijk admitted that every Golkar element is currently focused on preparing for simultaneous regional elections in 2024 by holding various meetings.
“Imagine if we were preparing for the regional elections, we were preparing for the National Conference, there were all kinds of candidates, wouldn’t there be a difference,” said the retired TNI officer with the final rank of Lieutenant General.
