The school leaders of the Löffinger school network, Tabea Pacher and Fiona Heer, and the two teachers of the student council (SMV), Frauke Wetterling and Robin Fischer, experienced an impressive and somewhat wistful farewell.

The SMV has been involved in various projects of the school association for years, such as the sponsored run for the girls’ school in Ghana in Africa. This has now also led to donations to the Federal Association of Children’s Hospice Lenzkirch and the organization “Human you & me”. In addition to the sponsored run, the student co-responsibility offered other activities, from the carnival party, to the sale of roses on Valentine’s Day, to the sale of ice cream and drinks at the national youth games or at the open house. According to the will of the departing SMV students and teachers, the proceeds are to be used primarily to finance children or humanitarian activities.

“We leave with mixed feelings,” said the two head girls, who are going to secondary schools and may be able to continue their charitable work there.

The two teachers also shed a tear or two: “It was great, constructive work,” said Frauke Wetterling and Robin Fischer. Frauke Wetterling is one of the founders of the organization “Human you & me”, which co-finances aid packages for Afghanistan. “Especially after the Taliban seized power and the system collapsed, the situation there is catastrophic,” she emphasized.

Rector Silke Keller is proud of her students and of her SMV, who is always personally involved in such activities and, for example, did lap after lap in the Haslach Stadium for a sponsored run for a good cause.
