New Delhi: Voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections will be held on Tuesday i.e. 7th May. In this phase, voting is to be held for 93 Lok Sabha seats in 11 states. On the other hand, the risk of heatwave has increased in many states of the country since the beginning of May. Voting is important in the interest of the country and it is also important to protect our health from the scorching sun and heat. In such a situation, before going to the polling booth, definitely check the weather updates and leave the house with full preparation to protect from the sun. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions are likely to subside in Eastern India from Monday and in Southern Peninsular India from Tuesday. However, a new heat wave is likely to occur in Western India covering Gujarat, Rajasthan and Western Madhya Pradesh during the next 5 days. While Northeast India is likely to experience heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds till May 7, Likely to continue together. Rain accompanied with thunderstorms and gusty winds is likely to continue over eastern and southern Peninsular India till May 10. Earlier, voting for Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat of Jammu and Kashmir was also to be held in this phase. But, due to unfavorable weather and other reasons, the election for this seat will be held in the sixth phase on May 25 instead of May 7.
Voting in these states
In the third phase, voting will be completed for all 26 Lok Sabha seats of Gujarat, two of Goa, both of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the remaining four of Assam, the remaining seven of Chhattisgarh and the remaining 14 Lok Sabha seats of Karnataka. Elections will be held for five seats in Bihar, eight in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, 10 in Uttar Pradesh and four in West Bengal. Voting will also be held for Madhya Pradesh Betul seat on May 7 itself.

- Heatwave conditions are likely over Vidarbha, Saurashtra and Kutch, Gujarat region, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Interior Karnataka on May 6, 2024.
