The season 2 finale of Marvel Studios’ “Loki” was a hit, attracting 11.2 million global views over three days. This marked a 3% increase from the season 2 premiere, which drew in 10.9 million views. The finale ranked as the second most-watched season premiere on Disney+ this year, behind only “The Mandalorian” season 3 premiere in March.

The popularity of “Loki” remained steady throughout the season, with every episode racking up over 11 million views during their premiere weeks, according to Disney. Additionally, in Nielsen rankings, the season 2 premiere of “Loki” debuted in the No. 6 spot, generating 446 million viewing minutes.

In the season 2 finale, Loki realizes that the Temporal Loom will never be able to safely hold all the branches of time. In the final moments of the episode, he uses his powers to revive and hold together all the branches of time at the citadel at the end of time. This finale also paved the way for the rest of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, with other Kang the Conqueror variants continuing to exist across the various timelines.

While Disney+ saw success with the “Loki” finale, the Marvel Cinematic Universe saw its lowest opening ever at the domestic and global box office with “The Marvels” opening to $46.1 million stateside and $109.4 million worldwide.
