Long Covid in children is one of the most hotly debated topics. The delta variant of the coronavirus spreads so easily that one thing is clear: anyone who is not vaccinated will become infected.
For children up to twelve years of age, however, no vaccine is approved in this country, as there are not enough usable data available on possible side effects or long-term effects. It is therefore foreseeable that all children will become infected sooner or later.
Therefore, the question of how dangerous Long Covid really is for children must urgently be clarified. And it must be clarified what kind of disease it is exactly. This is the only way to decide which restrictions will be necessary in the coming months.
